Join us for 4 days and 3 nights of trail running in the foothills of the Italian Prealps, where vineyards roll into ancient forest and stone hamlets tuck into the hillsides an hour north of Venice. Based at a working farmhouse retreat where the days are deliberately unhurried, we move together at a relaxed, social pace, running from the doorstep across open plains, into the vast Cansiglio Forest, and through the Prosecco hills. Expect farm-to-table feasts, long lingering afternoons, and proper Italian hospitality. This isn't a race - it's a shared journey through one of Italy's quietest corners.

Itinerary
Welcome to the Valbarè, in a quietly beautiful corner of Northern Italy where the famous Prosecco hills roll into the foothills of the Prealps and the third-largest forest in the country stretches across the high plateau above. Join us for 4 days and 3 nights of trail running based at a working farmhouse retreat 40 minutes from Treviso. We'll run 4 stunning routes, each one revealing a different side of the region: from the rolling foothills and the dramatic Grotte del Caglieron, to a flat canal-side loop across open agricultural plains, to a panoramic balcony route through vineyards and stone hamlets above the farm. For those wanting a proper test, there's also an optional ultra into the Cansiglio Forest with views stretching from the Venetian lagoon all the way to the Dolomites. You'll stay in the same comfortable farmhouse retreat all three nights and fuel your efforts with farm-to-table meals and local wine each evening. This is not a race, it's trail running as a journey. We'll move as a group at a steady, social pace, taking time to soak in the views and linger long over dinner. There are no clocks on the walls at the farm - the days are deliberately unhurried, and the hours after each run are yours to fill however you like: a glass of something cold in the courtyard, a sports massage, a nap in the sun, or simply nothing at all.
Day 1
Welcome to the Valbarè: The Three Borghi Loop - 25km, 350m+
Your Run Weekend kicks off at 11:00 at the farm. Airport transfers from Treviso (40 minutes away) are included in your trip price - the crew will share pickup times in advance. After settling into rooms and meeting the rest of the group, we'll gather in the courtyard at 12:30 for a light lunch - proper pasta, made on site. At 14:00 we head straight out for our first run from the farm gates, a 25km loop that takes us east across the plains, then north up into the rolling foothills with a stop at the Grotte del Caglieron, before easing back home through the countryside. Relaxed pace, plenty of pauses, no rush. Back at the farm in time for showers and a sit-down before dinner together at 19:00. This first evening is about meeting the group, easing into the trip, and enjoying relaxing in rural Italy.

Day 2
The Grand Cimbri Ultra Loop - 55km, 2500m+
Today is the headline run of the trip for anyone who wants to take it on - after a delicious breakfast at the farm, we set off on a long loop up into the Cansiglio forest, the third largest in Italy, with views stretching from the Venetian lagoon all the way to the Dolomites. There's a shorter alternative for anyone who'd rather keep the distance friendlier, and the team will be on hand to support at all times. The team will bring lunch out to you on route. Whatever you choose, the pace is relaxed and the day is about enjoying the trails together rather than pushing for time. Back to the farm by the afternoon with plenty of time to stretch out, soak up some sun in the courtyard, book a sports massage if you fancy one, or do nothing at all. Dinner at 19:00 - earned and very welcome.

Day 3
The Plain and Water Loop - 20km, 120m+
A flatter, easier day after yesterday's effort. Breakfast at 07:45, depart at 09:00 from the farm. A 20km loop across the plains and along the canals - mostly flat, very runnable, perfect for chatting our way through the kilometres. Plenty of stops, no rush, back at the farm by lunchtime. Light lunch at 12:30. The afternoon is yours to fill however you like: an optional second short run, a swim, a nap, a massage, or simply a glass of something cold in the courtyard. Our final dinner will be another incredible homemade feast, with plenty of great food and wine.

Day 4
The Rugolo Balcony Loop - 12km, 300m+
After our final breakfast we will head out for our final run at 09:00 - a gentle 12km loop through the rolling vineyards and stone hamlets above the farm, with a panoramic stop at one of the best viewpoints in the area. A soft, scenic end to the trip and a chance for one more shared run before goodbyes. Lunch back at the farm at 12:00 and checkout by 13:00. Airport transfers back to Treviso are included in your trip price.
