Itinerary
Welcome to Dubrovnik, where ancient stone walls meet the shimmering Adriatic and Croatia's stunning Dalmatian coast unfolds in every direction. Join us for 4 days and 3 nights of trail running based at a coastal hotel near the Lapad peninsula, just a short walk from Dubrovnik's iconic Old Town.
We'll run 4 stunning routes (totalling around 55km), each one revealing a different side of southern Croatia: from the coastal paths and clifftop trails of the Lapad peninsula, to the Old Town and the green island of Lokrum (you might spot a few Game of Thrones filming locations along the way), to a full day of island hopping through the Elaphiti Islands - Koločep with its pine forests and turquoise coves, and the car-free Lopud with its soft sandy beaches. The final morning takes us high above the city for unbeatable views of terracotta rooftops and deep blue sea.
This is not a race, we'll move as a group at a steady, social pace, taking time to swim in quiet bays, pause for photos, and linger over fresh Dalmatian seafood each evening. Ferries between islands, all meals, and guides are included throughout. The trip wraps up late morning on the final day, leaving you free to explore more of Dubrovnik or continue your travels along Croatia's stunning coastline - a taste of the Adriatic you'll never forget.
Day 1
Arrival in Dubrovnik & Coastal Welcome Run - 10km
Arrive in Dubrovnik any time from midday and check in to our hotel near the Lapad peninsula, a relaxed coastal area just outside the Old Town. At 3 pm, we’ll gather for a trip briefing to meet the group and run leaders, who’ll walk you through the plan for the weekend. Then it’s time to stretch the legs and shake off the travel with a 10 km coastal run, tracing the Lapad promenade and clifftop paths as the afternoon light hits the sea. The views over the Adriatic set the perfect tone for the trip ahead. Back at the hotel, we’ll have time to refresh before heading into Dubrovnik’s Old Town for our first dinner together - enjoying Croatian hospitality and local seafood in one of the city’s atmospheric restaurants.

Day 2
Dubrovnik old town and Lokrum - 18km
Today is our first full day together and around 18km of running. We will explore the trails and roads that lead us to the old town of Dubrovnik. Keep your eyes peeled as throughout the day we’ll be passing filming locations for game of thrones! From the old town we’ll jump on a short ferry (don’t forget to pause your watches!) to the island of Lokrum nature reserve. We will explore this small island on foot running round the perimeter and climbing to the fort with spectacular views back to the old town. There’ll be opportunity for a quick dip in the sea before heading back to the mainland and our hotel before heading out for dinner in the evening.

Day 3
Island Hopping: Koločep & Lopud - 8km + 7km
After an early breakfast, we’ll set out for a full day exploring the Elaphiti Islands, a small archipelago just northwest of Dubrovnik. First stop: Koločep, the closest island and a hidden gem of pine forests, turquoise coves, and peaceful villages. We’ll follow a scenic 8 km loop that winds along coastal paths and rocky trails, stopping for a swim and a relaxed lunch overlooking the water. In the afternoon, we’ll jump back on the ferry and make the short crossing to Lopud, known for its car-free tranquility and soft sandy beaches. Our second run of the day (around 7 km) takes us across the island’s interior trails, past olive groves and old stone chapels, before finishing at Šunj Beach for another chance to cool off in the sea. We’ll return to Dubrovnik in the evening, tired but happy, for a well-earned dinner and a chance to rest the legs.

Day 4
Dubrovnik from Above - 10km
Our final morning starts early with breakfast at the hotel before we head out for one last unforgettable run. Today’s route climbs high into the hills above Dubrovnik - about 10 km with 400 m of elevation - following rocky trails and winding switchbacks that reward the effort with unbeatable views of the Old Town and the Adriatic beyond. From the top, the terracotta rooftops and medieval walls look almost unreal against the deep blue sea. We’ll descend back to the hotel mid-morning, where there’s time for a quick swim in the sea or coffee before the group says goodbye. The trip officially ends late morning, leaving you free to explore more of Dubrovnik or continue your travels along Croatia’s stunning coastline.

Getting to us
Meeting Point
The trip will begin in Dubrovnik, Croatia. The exact meeting point will be shared in your welcome pack once your booking is confirmed. We’ll meet at 15:00 on Day 1 for a short briefing before our first shakeout run.
Arrival & Departure Times
Please plan to arrive in Dubrovnik before 15:00 on Day 1 to allow time for a briefing before our first run of the trip.
The trip will conclude at approximately 11:00 on the final day, when we finish the final run above Dubrovnik. We recommend booking onward travel no earlier than 14:00 to allow for a relaxed return and any potential delays.
Getting to Dubrovnik, Croatia
Dubrovnik is well connected and easy to reach from across Europe and beyond. Most guests will fly into Dubrovnik International Airport (DBV), which is around 45 minutes from the town by bus. Travel to and from Dubrovnik is not included and is the responsibility of the guest. Full directions to the meeting point will be provided in your welcome pack.

If you wish to book travel in advance, please ensure your travel booking is fully refundable. We do not hold liability for loss of flights if this trip doesn't run. If the trip doesn't run your deposit along with any balance paid will be fully refunded.
