OUR STORY
What are Run Weekends?

Run Weekends offers running retreats, holidays and mountain adventures around the globe. From simple back to basics run-camp-run style events, to luxury 5 star retreats, it's all about small groups of chilled runners enjoying the discovery of new places and forming new friendships.
We are not racing. We run as a group at no set pace. It's all relaxed and all abilities are welcome. Simply turn up with you running shoes and necessary kit, and we'll do the rest. Meals, accommodation, and guides are included, so you'll be well looked after.

Why Run Weekends?

Run Weekends founder Nick Butter, was the first, and still the only person to run a marathon in every country in the world. Discovering new places, new people, new cultures, and running in beautiful locations, Nick had his perspective of the world shaken up.
Over the many years and multiple world record setting adventures since, he's been consistently asked to give others a snapshot of his experience. And so after many years of deliberating, plotting, and researching, here it is. Running adventures, with Nick, around the world.
Nick made a name for himself by becoming the first and only person to run a marathon in every country in the world. Following the success of this 23 month expedition, Nick went on to run North to South of Italy totting up 100 marathons in 100 days, and then doubled that distance by circumnavigating Britain; running 5250 miles around the coast of UK in 128 days. His books went on to be best sellers. Nick knows how to run, and he also knows the world and what's on offer.

OUR VALUES
Togetherness
We are in this together. Running is a solo endeavour. Just lace up and off you go. While many of us love the peace of solo runs, if you’re a runner, you’ll know that the running community offers so much more than this. Run Weekends is about bringing the community of lovely runners together. The love of running, kindness towards others, and total inclusivity is the frame work of the camaraderie you will experience at Run Weekends. Bring the love and it will be reciprocated. We always run together.
Adventure
There can be no true adventure without misadventure. We are not racing. We are not rushing. Half the fun is in the journey. Although each weekend is carefully put together to give you an unforgettable experience, your Run Weekends team will leave enough room in the plan to listen to the consensus of the group and adapt. Unlike a marathon race, we might change the route, we might run longer, we might change it up on the day. Running will always be at the heart of your time with us, but we’ll keep the schedule flexible to allow for misadventure.
Friendships
The only way to have a friend, is to be one. We all have a love of running in common, but there’s more to it than that. During your Run Weekend we hope you can connect with fellow runners through the love of running, but connect further and sustain a longer friendship. Our maximum group sizes of 16, plus free time and shared activities within the weekend give a chance for new friendships to blossom. The power of a hello to a new person can lead to great things.
Discovery
Not until we are lost do we begin to truly find our path. Founder Nick Butter is keen for discovery to be a central point of everything Run Weekends lives and breaths. Discovering new places, new people, new experiences is what brings life to our lives. Run Weekends is a place to discover, learn, and explore. Of course the ultimate discovery will be with yourself. During your Run Weekend there will be optional activities to help you get out of the comfort zone.
