Itinerary
Join us to Run The Volcano. A three-day trail running adventure across Tenerife’s dramatic volcanic landscapes. This is running at its most elemental: from black lava fields to golden beaches, from high-altitude ridgelines to ocean sunsets. Across three unforgettable days, you’ll cover 8km, 42km, and 20km of mixed terrain, including the legendary summit of Mount Teide - Spain’s highest point at over 3,500 metres. Bring a jacket. (We will be hiking the steep ups) Between runs, unwind in our luxury villa in the island’s sunny south, complete with a private pool, home-cooked dinners, and sunset tapas by the sea. All abilities are welcome on all our trips. There's never any pressure. We pride ourselves on being inclusive. Join us for adventure, escape and connection.
Day one eases us in with a gentle evening run through the coastal breeze before dining on local tapas. Day two is the heart of the trip, a marathon ascent to the summit of Mount Teide, tracing parts of the iconic Tenerife Bluetrail. Expect thin air, vast views, and the raw thrill of running through volcanic wilderness. Our final day takes us north to lush forests and seaside trails for a 20km run that ends with a barefoot finish on Playa Las Teresitas beach. With every step, you’ll discover why Tenerife is Europe’s hidden playground for trail runners. Join us where mountains, ocean, and adventure meet.
Day 1
Welcome to the Volcanic Island - 8km + 100m elevation
Day one is a gentle landing into paradise. We ask you to arrive at our luxury villa by 16:00 in the south of Tenerife. Think terracotta roofs, the glint of a private pool, and the soft sea breeze reminding us we’re not in the office anymore. Our weekends always start with a briefing from our trips leads and hosts; We will talk you through your time with us. At 17:30 we’ll shake off the travel miles with a short, easy evening run of 8km in the local area, just enough to stretch the legs and smell the salt in the air. After a jog where we can all get to know each other, we’ll get showered and head out at 19:30 for a short walk to some delicious Tapas at a local restaurant, Tapas Pata De Oro.

Day 2
Mount Teide Volcano Marathon - 42km + 2650m elevation
Day two is the big one. Don't worry we've allowed a full day so there's no pressure on pace. We rise early at 07:00 and have breakfast in the villa ready to jump in our shuttle to the start location for 09:30. This is why we we're here. Today takes us up and over the soul of Tenerif, along sections of the iconic Tenerife Bluetrail, which is part of the UTMB route, Europe’s highest race outside the Alps. We’ll pack plenty of trail snacks, and there will be a rest stop before we start summitting the volcano. The air thins, the views explode. Bring some layers, it will be cold at the top, taking us to the highest point in Spain at over 3500m above sea level. Once we’ve summited and descended the other side, we’ll return via the same shuttle for a chill evening in the pool. Dinner is homemade, and we’ll aim to have it on the table by 20:00. Feet up, glasses full, laughter loud, leg sore.

Day 3
Froests and Beach Day - 20km +800m elevation
With a big day in our legs yesterday, we’ll take it a little easier today. A slightly later start of around 07:30 we’ll have breakfast in the villa again and then jump in transport to head to the north of the Island and Playa Las Teresitas beach. Aiming to start running at 09:30, we’ll jog a 20km loop into the hills and the trees that only the north of the Island has to offer. We’re in no rush today, legs will undoubtedly be tired. Once back to the beach we’ll relax with our toes in the sand and a leisurely lunch from the local beach side cafes. We have plenty of time here to rest and recover, before heading back to the villa at 15:30 to shower and chill out. We take taxis into a local town for the final dinner at 19:30, dining at the local hotspot of Limonella which offers a Spanish and Italian fusion menu.

Day 4
