Itinerary
Escape to the picturesque New Forest for a weekend of trail running, adventure, and relaxation. Join us for a chilled weekend full with good people, gentle jogging, a bushcraft workshop and great winter food. Just turn up on the Friday and the Run Weekends team will look after you. We'll have guides, your hosts Nick and Henry and extra support crew so you're well looked after. The New Forest is truly a stunning natural haven renowned for its scenic beauty, abundant wildlife, and endless rolling trails. Covering over 200 square miles, this ancient landscape is a unique blend of heathlands, woodlands, wetlands, and grassy meadows, all crisscrossed with miles of running trails.

Easily accessible with a direct line from London to the nearby station, the charming country hotel: The Beaulieu Inn Hotel is your base for the next two nights. After checking in, meet the team for a welcome briefing before heading out for an evening shakeout 5km run through the tranquil forest trails. The pace is relaxed, designed to include everyone and get your legs ready for the longer runs over the next few days. Once settled after the run we'll head out for a hearty meal. The next day few days are a 25km and 28km run with pub lunches, more forests, more trails and stunning coastal views. We'll take in Hurst Castle along with many of the stable New Forest towns and villages en route. Each day you'll have the hotel as a base, so pack your day bag and head out the door.

With regular rest stops and a supportive pace, the route offers the perfect mix of adventure and relaxation. Back at the hotel each evening you'll have time to chill and recover with a dip in the pool or a few extra beers. The New Forest offers a chance to breath in the fresh air and escape the busy day to day. See you in the forest. Remember, it's for all abilities. We're not racing. If you're worried about pace, don't be. We are here for the love of running, not hunting for PBs.
Day 1 - Friday 21st November 2025
Arrival - Dusk Shakeout 5km Run & Dinner
Welcome to the renowned woodland of The New Forest. Your Run Weekends team will be ready to greet you at The Beaulieu Inn Hotel anytime from 17:00. You'll have time to check in and settle before a welcome briefing at 18:30 followed by a short evening shakeout run to stretch the legs (bring your head torch). If you're arriving after work, don't worry about turning up a little late. We won't be tucking into our evening meal until 20:30. We'll be taking a short transfer to a nearby tasty curry house to start the weekend right. They'll be plenty of alternatives to suit everyone's dietary requirements. Enjoy the pool in the evening, or the pub next door. Be sure to get some rest because we have 25km tomorrow.

Day 2 - Saturday 22nd November 2025
Forest Loop - 25km - Easy Trails

We'll always give you your daily briefing over breakfast. Wake up for 07:30, briefing and breakfast by 08:30 and out the door and into the forest by 09:00. Today is a circular route in the heart of the forest - it will be largely flat with decent condition underfoot. It may be cold so wrap up warm. No doubt there will be some early morning frost. We have two short stops planned - one to allow for a toilet break at Blackwater Aboretum after about 15km, and another in Lyndhurst village after 20km. This is your opportunity to top up on water, snacks, or even grab a coffee on us. The pace will be accessible to all. No one gets left behind on Run Weekends. Once back, we'll shower, change and have some lunch. The day isn't over. It's straight over to embark on 3 hours of learning the basics of bushcraft - it's a great course and one we're sure you'll love. Dinner is back at the Drift Inn right next to the hotel. A chance for some beers and enjoy the remaining energy of the evening. If you'd rather have a chill in the hotel pool, feel free, everything is casual.

Day 3 - Sunday 23rd November 2025
To Hurst Castle - 28km - Forest & Coast
A slightly more relaxed start to the day and a chance to have a lie in or enjoy the pool. We'll head out on tired legs after a big hotel breakfast to meander our way to the coast and along to Hurst Castle. The view from here is special. A short walk back to The Lighthouse for lunch is a great way to close the weekend having completed 58km in some of the most outstanding forests in the country. Once fed we'll shuttle everyone back to the hotel. You can either stick around for a few drinks or head off home. New friends, new trails and a chance to breath in the fresh air of the forest. Your weekend will officially close back at the hotel at 18:00.
